On Aug. 20 & 21, 2022, we will be honored to have Rev. Dermot Roache, SMA, with us at all the Masses to share the good news of the mission works of the Society of African Missions. The Society of African Missions, a.k.a. SMA Fathers, is a missionary congregation founded in 1856. With over 900 priests from all over the world, its main mission is to work with the people of Africa and the people of African origin. SMA missionaries are in 17 countries throughout the continent of Africa. Missionaries from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia respond to the Call of Jesus, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all Nations.” The SMA missionaries today are still engaged in primary evangelization, i.e., they go to places where the Word of God has not reached yet, as in some areas in Africa where there are no roads and basic needs like water, food and education are lacking. Aside from bringing people the Good News, the missionaries in these areas provide basic amenities like water, education and health as well, especially to war-torn countries like the Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia and Sierra Leone. Please give from the heart on Aug. 20 & 21, 2022, to help spread the Gospel throughout the world and assist the Society of African Missions to share God’s love to those in need. Your prayers and donations are greatly appreciated!
