In 2023 Pope Francis will host a worldwide Synod, a meeting of bishops, in Rome to discuss what we the people feel is needed to move the Church forward in the 21st century. The Holy Father asks for our participation and dialogue now. Every parish in the Archdiocese of Newark and around the world is asked to participate. Your participation in our parish meetings is essential to help our pastor, the bishops and the Pope. Cardinal Tobin describes the Synod as “an opportunity to dream about what our Church can become, what we are called to be as a Church to the poor and marginalized, to bind up wounds and to learn from one another.” Your comments and answers will be collected and reported confidentially to the Archdiocese of Newark. Due to the COVID surge, our first meeting was cancelled. So our only parish meeting will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22 in the Parish Center from 9 - 11:30 a.m. Please register by filling out a form found at the doors of the church and dropping it in the Sunday collection basket or at the Rectory. All are welcome!
